Worsley Road Methodist Church, Swinton. Unfortunately as of 6th February 2014 this church building has closed owing to failings in Health and Safety provision. The church will not reopen as the cost of returning it to acceptable (and legal) status would be prohibitive. However the website will remain open for the benefit of people wishing to find out about the church and some of its history. From time to time as new information becomes available more historical details will be added..

Over the summer of 2013 the church provided the base for a National Citizen Service project organised through the Salford Foundation.  This is a personal development scheme for 16 and 17 year olds from varied backgrounds to work together and, in this case, help refurbish a local community centre. 

 Members of Worsley Road Methodist Church established a cricket club over 100 years ago (Swinton Methodists) which is still going strong, though now called Swinton Moorside Cricket Club (see links page).
